What if I already have resume?
   

Get a price quote by e-mailing or faxing your resume (or draft) and 1-3 examples of your ideal job. The job examples you provide are critically important in determining the level of service you need. Which forms of payment do you take?

How is proofreading handled?
   

Your proof copy will be forwarded by e-mail, fax, or U.S. mail, depending on your available equipment. Revised proofs can be returned via e-mail, fax, or U.S. mail.

Are there extra charges if I want to make changes?
   

If the revisions you want to make are based on the original data that you provided, there are no additional charges. In fact, we include up to two sets of proof revisions on all writing projects. However, if you want to make discretionary revisions (i.e., add new material, change job target, etc.), additional charges will be applicable.

Who will actually write my resume?

The Process:

Once I receive your materials, I will:

  1. Assess your data to determine what level of assistance is needed to produce a competitive, keyword-optimized resume.
  2. Forward a written assessment, recommendations, and price quote by e-mail or fax.

Turnaround: Resume assessments are typically completed within 72 hours but turnaround time is dependent on the prevailing schedule. If you need a fast turnaround, ask if we can expedite turnaround when you send your materials.

Price Range: Prices vary considerably, depending on the variables noted below.

Variables in Pricing

Resume services may involve any combination of the following:
  • Proofreading / review
  • Composition, editing, or tweaking
  • Page redesign / setup
  • Creation of traditional or scanner-friendly format (MS Word)
  • Reformatting to enhance appearance or improve readability
  • Correction of errors and inconsistencies in grammar, spelling, sentence structure, punctuation, formatting, etc.
  • Rewriting of job descriptions to emphasize accomplishments, special projects, etc.
  • Strategic composition or rewriting of resume "profile" section to focus on job target keywords, specific skill sets, or targeted level of responsibility
  • Rewriting to emphasize transferable or functional skills
  • Rewriting or editing to emphasize or de-emphasize specific industries, products, markets, or geographies
  • Strategic rewriting or restructuring of job descriptions
  • Composition of job descriptions from scratch
  • Rewriting of job descriptions to emphasize specific keywords or transferable skills
  • Restructuring / reordering of resume categories and functional skills
  • Consultation to develop keyword competencies, accomplishments, special projects, and success stories
  • Creation of additional formats (HTML, PDF, RTF, ASCII, etc.)
When determining price, we look at factors such as:
  • The need for consultation and development
  • Keyword and job target positioning issues
  • Number of pages / volume of supplemental data
  • Requirements for composition vs. editing
  • Special formatting requirements or challenges
